Temple is a Gen Inc researcher and Medic that was stationed at the Strata Medical Laboratory in Antarctica.

History

During the initial outbreak of the Thing within the Strata Medical Laboratory, he was found injured in an office in the Strata Furnace. Fortunately for him, Blake arrived and gave Temple a Health Pack, earning his trust. He was put in Whitley's extermination list prior to meeting Blake and an attempt had been made on his life. He, along with Blake, Dixon and Lavelle, fought their way through both the dreaded Thing Beasts and Whitley's elite Black Ops units. Eventually, the team came across the Furnace Rupture, which blocked access to the switch that made the elevator needed to escape the facility operational. Nonetheless, he was killed by the explosion caused by the time bomb that was set by Whitley, causing the entire facility to be destroyed. Blake was the only one that made it to the surface and proceeded to the Transit Hangar.

Trivia

Temple can succumb to the infection and burst out if attacked too much by The Thing.
He can be made to enter the boss fight with the Furnace Rupture by making him follow Blake very close to where the gate opens, positioning him close to Lavelle and Dixon so he may be pushed inside. He can heal Blake during the boss fight. This is hard to pull off, however, as Lavelle or Dixon may be pushed inside instead.
