The Thing: Station Survival is a first-person browser based shooter game created with Unity3D. Published by Universal Studios and designed to promote the 2011 prequel film, it was released free-to-play in October 2011 and was also downloadable for the Windows and Mac OS platforms.

"An isolated Norwegian outpost in Antarctica has sent out an urgent call for help, and it's your mission to explore the base and find out what went down. A relatively short game, The Thing: Station Survival takes place at Thule Station during the events of The Thing (2011). Played from the first-person perspective, usable weapons include M2A1-7 flamethrower, FAL STG-58 automatic rifle, .44 caliber Magnum, M79 grenade launcher and a wood cutting axe.
