Colt Trooper Mk III - The Thing (1982) (1)

Garry lays aside his Colt Trooper Mk III, as seen in The Thing (1982).

The Colt Trooper Mk III is a medium frame double-action revolver featuring a six-round cylinder, chambered for .22 and .38 caliber cartridges. Designed as a less expensive alternative to the upscale Colt .357 and the later Colt Python, it was marketed to law enforcement agencies as well as civilian firearms enthusiasts and collectors.[1] Station commander Garry carries a Colt Trooper Mk III in a holster on his duty belt in the 1982 film The Thing. Midway through the film R.J. MacReady gets possession of Garry's revolver and carries it with him from then on.
