In-game clothing decals displaying the 'Beta Team' Arctic Marines insignia
The Arctic Marines are a fictional U.S. special operations force. Appearing in the 2002 video-game The Thing, they are sent to investigate the events of the 1982 film of the same name. Captain J.F. Blake is the leader of Beta Team, tasked with investigating the remains of U.S. Outpost 31, whilst Alpha Team investigate the Norwegian camp under the command of Captain Pierce. Both teams are under the overall command of Colonel R.C. Whitley who stays in communication with them via radio.

Unknown member[]
- There is an unknown member of the Arctic Marines, who has already been turned into an Assimilant by the time Blake and his men reach the Norwegian Medi-Center. He was presumably from Alpha Team. He emerges from the fuel hut when the team heads outside, in hot pursuit of the Norwegian Radio Operator named Iversen. Nobody in Blake's team comments on who he could have been, though.
